Good location near Las Ramblas. Some of the rooms overlook a square and have miniature balconies. The hotel is clean. I have stayed twice before ( booked through your website ) and had a pleasant experience!
The night receptionist on the 10th August 2009 was curt, unfriendly and unhelpful. The room we were assigned must have been the worst in the hotel. Small and dark with a window overlooking an internal quadrangle. Breakfast was poor as Staff did not readily replace empty platters. This resulted in making do with whatever happened to be available when you entered the dining room.

No nonsens hotel with everything you need for a good sleep and breakfast. Friendly personal.
The location is GREAT!!!! You are some meters from The Ramblas and from there you can take the metro to all the attractions all over Barcelona.

Relaxed atmosphere. Close to centre (La Rambla) and Metro stop for easy travel.
Difficult to reach by car due to one way systems in Barcelona. Could hear all conversations in rooms next door (walls too thin). Low level noise throughout the night from machinery (maybe from business next door), perhaps not a problem in another room.

Fresh Fruit and orange juice rather than diluted juice would have improved the breakfast

Nice quiet,clean and friendly hotel.Geat bar next door.Staff were very helpful.Close to La Rambla and other attractions.
Walls were very thin and you could here ALL that was going on in the next room

Central position, clean, basic, breakfast reasonable
Staff unfriendly - not unpleasant just not friendly and approachable. Asked for light to be replaced next to bed as not working - this was not done.

The location, breakfast.
Reception staff didn't seem as friendly as they could, despite the language barrier. Possibly a bit overpriced given the relatively basic room (e.g. no tea or coffee facilities, soap not renewed daily) but I suppose that is a reflection of the location. There are rooms with an outside view, but I guess we were unlucky to be allocated one with none; still if in Barcelona you're hardly expected to remain in the room all the time!
